For decades, vital records were used exclusively for recording births and deaths.  Today, vital records are often necessary to gain employment, qualify for benefits, or prove identification. The security of these documents is paramount in the effort to eliminate counterfeiting, fraud, and identity theft.

Over the past 200 years, ABnote North America has perfected the art of secure document printing. We want to use our experience and resources to provide you with a vital records document that is known by its quality and security.

Our objective is to produce a document that is easily recognizable, difficult to alter or duplicate, compatible with existing data processing applications, and cost effective.  We accomplish these goals by adhering to a strict set of procedures and processes.

Working in cooperation with NAPHSIS and State and local jurisdictions, ABnote North America offers a wide range of overt and covert security features (click here for a video demonstration of some security features) layered into the document to authenticate and protect it from counterfeiting and alteration. 

ABnote has recently added a 100% post consumer recycled security paper specifically for use in manufacturing secure documents such as vital records . This innovative recycled paper combines the requirements for ensuring the highest document security with being environmentally responsible. In addition, there is 100% compatibility of all the same printed and applied security features which are used on non-recycled paper security documents.

This one-of-a-kind recycled security paper is made from 100% post consumer content, is certified as chlorine free processed, is Forest Stewardship Council and ECOLOGO certified, is manufactured using biogas which is a sustainable and local energy and can resist aging for more than 100 years as per ANSI. The paper is UV dull and available with traditional paper security features such as invisible and visible security fibers, watermarks, and is reactive to chemicals such as oxidants, polar and non-polar solvents, acids and alkalines.
